Kendo University Taikai 2017 announced!

Cambridge University Kendo Club Tsurugi Bashi is proud to be hosting this year's Kendo University Taikai!

The event this year will be happening on the weekend of 4th-5th March 2017.

The VENUE is:

Sports Centre
Chesterton Community College
Gilbert Rd, Cambridge CB4 3NY

TAIKAI REGISTRATION is now open until 12th February. Once we have received your registration, details about payment will be sent to you via email. Payment DEADLINE 19th February. Payments will NOT be accepted in cash on the day of the Taikai. Failure to pay will result in cancelation of your registration.

GRADING for Ikkyu and Shodan has been confirmed for the afternoon of Sunday 5th of March, commencing after the closing ceremony for the Taikai. Grading registrations open until 26th February.

SAYONARA PARTY will take place on Saturday 4th March at 7pm. DEADLINE 12th February.

Cambridge Kendo Society new members intake - Michaelmas 2016!

Open Days for new members: 7 and 12 October.

Beginner Course: 14 October to 2 November, Wednesdays (6.00 - 8.00 pm) and Fridays (7:30 - 9:30 pm).

Venue: Studio 1, University of Cambridge Sports Centre, Charles Babbage Road, Cambridge CB3 0FS.

The Cambridge Team participated in the UK University Kendo Taikai 2016. Cambridge University participants competed in both the Individual and Team competition. Katarzyna Sokol got into the semi-finals in the Ladies Kyu category and received a shared 3rd Place. Congratulations!
